NAGPANGGAP NA PINOY AT MAY KAUGNAYAN KAY TONY YANG AT POGO, INARESTO

SINABI ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na ang naarestong Chinese national noon May 21 na si Xu Shiyan ay posibleng may kaugnayan sa Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, nakatanggap siya ng impormasyon mula kay Melody Penelope Gonzales, head ng BI Mindanao Intelligence Task Group (MITG), na si Xu ay incorporator ng Philippine Sanjia-Steel Corporation (Phil-Sanjia).

Kabilang sa mga incorporators ng nasabing kumpanya ay si Antonio Lim, na alyas Tony Yang na unang inimbestigahan ng legislative bodies dahil sa pagkakasangkot nito sa POGO operations sa Pilipinas.

Narekober mula kay Xu ay iba’t-ibang dokumento sa Pilipinas kabilang ang birth certificates, Philsys slips, SSS forms, UMID forms, Postal ID, TIN ID, driver’s license, at COMELEC registration slip, na lahat ay sa kanyang pangalan.

Matatandaan na unang naaresto ng BI si Tony Yang non 2024 matapos na nagpanggap na isang Filipino.

“We will not allow foreign nationals to abuse our systems, falsify their identities, and use Philippine documents to cover their tracks,” ayon kay Viado. “The Bureau is fully committed to supporting the President’s campaign to rid the country of criminal elements linked to illegal POGOs,” dagdag pa nito.
