DepEd, bumili ng 87M learning materials para sa alternatibong edukasyon

BUMILI ang Department of Education (DepEd) ng mahigit sa 87 million learning modules at 74,492 tablets para suportahan ang mga mag-aaral sa buong bansa sa ilalim ng Flexible Learning Options (FLO) fund.

Sinabi ng DepEd na ang early procurement activities (EPA) ay mapakikinabangan ng mahigit sa 300,000 mag-aaral sa high-and medium-risk areas sa iba’t ibang lugar sa 16 na rehiyon, pagtiyak na mayroon silang kakailanganing gamit para ipagpatuloy ang kanilang edukasyon sa pamamagitan ng alternative modalities.

“These learning resources are designed to support learners who are studying independently, allowing them to learn at their own pace and make adjustments as needed,” ayon kay DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara.

“We made a commitment to fast-track learning resources, and we are making good on that promise. EPA is more than just a procurement strategy. It is a game-changer in making sure no learner is left waiting,” dagdag na wika ng Kalihim.

Namahagi naman ang Bureau of Alternative Education (BAE) ng 2.975 milyong modules at 330,000 session guides sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Idagdag pa rito, may P115 million ang inilaan para makapagbigay sa mga rehiyon para sa pagpaparami ng locally developed modules, kabilang na rito ang 41 Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Elementary modules at 41 A&E Junior High School (JHS) modules.

Mahigit naman sa 300 Alternative Learning System (ALS) implementers ang dumaan sa specialized training, suportado ng UNESCO, upang masiguro ang epektibong gamit ng mga resources na ito.

Nag-aalok naman ang FLO program ng Alternative Delivery Modes (ADMs) at ALS.

”ADMs offer a menu of alternative learning delivery approaches and programs that cater to learners enrolled in the formal system but for various reasons are at risk of dropping out. It follows the K to 12 curriculum but does not follow the traditional classroom setup. It allows learning through modular distance learning, online distance learning, blended learning, the Open High School System, Night High School, Rural Farm School, and Homeschooling,” litanya nito. (Daris Jose)
