Informal settlers na tatamaan ng ruta ng railway project, tutulungan ng gobyerno

TINIYAK ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na tutulungan ng gobyerno ang mga informal settlers na maaapektuhan nang pagtatayo South Commuter Railway Project (SCRP) sa ilalim ng North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) System.

Aminado ang Pangulo na may mga maaapektuhan sa pagtatayo ng malalaking proyekto tulad ng SCRP.

“We must also recognize the plight of informal settler families who will be affected by the project as well as the disturbances that the construction of the NSCR system will cause. So, we are continuously conscious in the national government and of course the local governments to ensure that those needing assistance are attended to,” ani Marcos.

Sa paglagda ng tatlong kontrata ng proyekto nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 13, binanggit ni Marcos ang mga benepisyong maidudulot ng proyekto, kabilang ang pagbuo ng humigit-kumulang 3,000 trabaho kapag nagsimula na ang civil works para sa tatlong seksyon.

Humingi rin ang Pangulo ng patuloy na pasensya at pang-unawa ng publiko habang sila ay nakakaranas ng mga pagkaantala mula sa konstruksyon.

“These are the inevitable consequences of these large projects, but it is something that we have to go through if we are going to complete the projects as they have been designed and we will – to be able to reap the benefits in the longer term,” ani Marcos.

Sinaksihan ni Marcos ang paglagda sa tatlong pac­kages ng railway project na aabot sa 14.9 kilometers na daraan sa Blumentritt sa Manila, Pio del Pilar at Magallanes sa Makati City, Barangay North Daang Hari sa Taguig City, at Barangay San Martin De Porres sa Parañaque City.

Ang SCRP ay bahagi ng NSCR na nag-uugnay sa Blumentritt Station sa Calamba Station. (Daris Jose)
