IATF, hangad na iklian ang isolation period para sa mga fully vaccinated health workers

HANGAD ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) na iklian ang isolation period para sa mga fully vaccinated health workers ng limang araw.

Sinabi ni acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na itinalaga ng IATF ang Department of Health na mag- produce o gumawa ng specific protocols kung paano ipatutupad ang shortened quarantine.

“‘Yung hospital infection prevention and control committees will be authorized  dito sa mga hospitals… they will be authorized to implement shortened quarantine protocols for five days for fully vaccinated health care workers,” ayon kay Nograles, co-chair ng IATF.

“And then in extreme circumstances, yung mga fully vaccinated healthcare workers na under isolation in extreme circumstances and weighing risks and benefits, puwede rin ma-shorten ang kanilang isolation protocols,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Gayundin, sinabi ni Nograles na ang asymptomatic COVID-19 confirmed cases at maging ang mga close contacts ay maaaring sumailalim sa home quarantine.

Ang DOH ay muling lilikha ng protocols kung paano ito ipatutupad.

“‘Yung home isolation as mentioned kanina, ‘yung home isolation ng COVID-19 confirmed individuals na asymptomatic mild or moderate disease and home quarantine of close contacts of suspect probable or confirmed COVID-19 cases,” ani Nograles. (Daris Jose)
