Travel ban sa 8 bansa, ikinasa na ng Pilipinas

PINAGBAWALAN na ng Pilipinas ang mga biyahero mula sa 8 territories sa layuning iiwas ang bansa sa matinding mutated Omicron COVID-19 variant.
Epektibo Dec. 16 hanggang 31, ang mga biyahero mula sa mga sumusunod na “high-risk” areas na bahagi ng tinatawag na “Red List” ay pagbabawalan na makapasok ng Pilipinas.
Ang mga bansang ito ani acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles ay ang Andorra, France, Monaco, Northern Mariana Islands, Reunion, San Marino, South Africa at Switzerland.
“The restriction covers everyone who has been to these 8 areas in the last 14 days, regardless of their vaccination status,” ayon kay Nograles.
Tanging ang mga Filipino lamang na magbabalik sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng repatriation efforts at “Bayanihan” flights ang exempted mula sa travel ban.
“To all those who plan to come home during the holidays, we humbly request your patience as we in the IATF continue to make modifications to our protocols. These are all being done in response to evolving situations in the world,” anito.
