PDu30, susunod sa Senate protocols sa pagpapalabas ng SALN kapag nahalal na senador

SUSUNOD si Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa protocols ng Senado sa pagpapalabas ng Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) ng mga miyembro nito kapag nahalal na senador sa 2022 national at local elections.

“I am not familiar with the protocols in the Senate. But whatever it is, I am sure the President will follow whatever protocols or practices there are in the Senate,” ayon kay Acting Presidential spokesperson Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.

Matatandaang naging accessible lamang ang SALN ng Pangulo sa publiko noong 2018.

Ang Senado, sa kabilang dako ay nagpalabas ng summary ng SALN ng mga senador kada taon.

Sa ulat, hinamon ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III si Pangulong Duterte na isapubliko nito ang kanyang SALN.

“Yes, I think so. He is the president. The people expect transparency in their leaders,”ayon kay Sotto.

Samantala, nang hingan naman si Nkgrales ng komento sa sinabi ni Sotto ay sinabi nito na kokonsultahin niya ang Pangulo sa bagay na ito at “we’ll come up with a statement after(ward).” (Daris Jose)
