Sec. Roque, binuweltahan si Dr. Leachon na 80% gustong maging Health Secretary

“Siyempre, sasabihin niya dahil 80% gusto niyang maging Secretary of Health”!

Ito ang buweltang pahayag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa ginawang pagkontra ni Dr. Anthony Leachon sa kanyang sinabi na ang mga variant ng COVID-19 ang dapat sisihin sa muling pagpapatupad ng Enhanced Community Quarantine sa NCR plus at hindi ang kapalpakan ng gobyerno.

Nauna na kasing sinabi ni Sec.Roque na hindi palpak ang gobyerno sa pagtugon sa COVID-19 pero sadyang nagkaroon lang ng mutation ang virus kaya dumami lalo ang kaso ng impeksyon.

Kinontra naman nito ni Dr. Leachon, dating adviser ng task force ng gobyerno laban sa COVID-19.

“This is about 80 percent leadership problem,” ani Leachon ukol sa pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID.

“This is all about leadership and if only we could do something about it and we’re given this opportunity to correct the mistakes, I think we should actually step up on the plate right now considering the people are waiting for results,” dagdag pa niya.

Giit pa ni Leachon na mas malala pa ang sitwasyon sa bansa ngayon kumpara noong 2020.

“I think we are back to square one but worse than last year given that our problems are not only COVID but we also have non-COVID cases right now,” ayon pa sa eksperto.

Sinita niya rin ang “excellent” grade ng gobyerno para sa kanilang COVID-19 response dahil maaari umano itong magpalabas ng maling pag-iisip sa publiko.

“If you say we are excellent in terms of our pandemic response, why are we on ECQ right now?” ani Leachon.

“Basically, that sends a wrong signal to the community because that will lead to even further non-compliance to the health protocols.” (Daris Jose)
