‘Doctor Strange’ Actor Will Play A World War II Magician

DOCTOR Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch is working with Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow in the upcoming film World War II, War Magician.

The film is based on David Fisher’s book which recounts the life of British illusionist Jasper Maskelyne who lived during World War II. Maskelyne was said to have assembled a “Magic Gang” and used illusions to defeat Erwin Rommel of Nazi Germany.

According to Deadline.com, Trevorrow’s take on the material will focus on an “international ‘magic gang’ from Africa, Europe and the Middle East who conspired with Maskelyne and a female military intelligence officer to defeat the Nazis.”

More details about the War Magician are yet to be revealed.
