THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has classified “Wicked: For Good” with a PG (Parental Guidance) ratin.
A PG rating means that the film may contain themes, language or scenes that require the
guidance of a parent or adult for younger viewers.
“While the movie is generally appropriate for viewers of all ages, we encourage parents and supervising adults to provide guidance to ensure that children understand the film’s content,” said MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto.
“Wicked: For Good” is a musical fantasy, starring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
It tells the story of the future “Wicked Witch of the West” and her relationship with the “Good Witch of the North.”
The film is the second installment of the two-part feature adaptation of the Broadway musical.
Also classified as PG is the Philippine-Korean produced film, “Finding Santos,” starring Jang Theo, known for his appearance on Netflix’s hit South Korean dating show “Single’s Inferno,” alongside members of P-pop girl group YGIG.
The movie commemorates the 76th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and the Philippines, as well as the 75th anniversary of the Philippine military’s participation in the Korean War.
Meanwhile, the action-thriller, “Wildcat,” starring Kate Beckinsale, is rated R-13 for audiences 13 years old and above.
The film follows a former black ops team that reunites to pull off a desperate heist and save the life of an eight-year-old girl.
Two Filipino classic movies, “Karnal” (1983), a drama-horror, and “Sa Aking Mga Kamay” (1996), a psychological thriller, both written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee and digitally restored by ABS-CBN Film Restoration, received R-18 ratings, due to mature themes and scenes not suitable for younger audiences.

ISA sa mga horror films na ipalalabas ngayong taon na personally, looking forward kaming mapanood ay ang “KMJS Gabi ng Lagim” na produced ng GMA Films at GMA Public Affairs.

Trilogy ito with “Pocong” na dinirek ni Yam Laranas, “Berbalang” ni Dado Dayao at “Sanib” ni King Mark Baco. And of course, narrated by Ms. Jessica Soho.

Sampung taon na halos ang KMJS Gabi ng Lagim sa telebisyon, pero ang kaibahan nito ngayon, sa big screen mapapanood with Elijah Canlas, Rocco Nacino, Miguel Tanfelix, Sanya Lopez, Therese Malvar at Jillian Ward.

May kanya-kanya silang kuwento, lalo na habang sinu-shoot nila ang movie, pero sa kuwento ni Miguel, first time raw niyang mahimatay.

Nagkataon na ang location nila ay sa freezer, sobrang lamig dapat. Naka-makapal din siyang damit, pero in reality, sobrang init daw sa lugar na pinagsu-shootingan nila.

Nasabi pa raw niya na, “Mahihimatay yata ako,” bago siya nahimatay na nga. Hindi raw niya alam ang nangyari, paggising niya nasa labas na siya. Dahil noon lang niya ‘yon naranasan, natakot daw siyang talaga.

Ang KMJS Gabi ng Lagim ay ipalalabas na simula sa Miyerkules, November 26.

Kasabay nito ang hawak niyang resibo kunsaan, maririnig sa short video ang boses ni Derek na tila galit.

Sa video, maririnig na sinasabi niya na, “Napakaduwag mo. Puro ka lang salita. ‘Yan ang problema sa ‘yo. Go away you fucking conflict in life.”

At dahil nga may resibo si Ellen, pati oras at date kung kailan nangyari ang pagmumura raw sa kanya ni Derek ay naasabi niya.

Ayon pa rito, “I was 6 months pregnant here. Check time and date.”

In fairness, ang daming kampi at saludo sa ginagawang ito ni Ellen.

“Personal nating obligasyon sa sarili natin na alagaan ang sarili natin, di ba? Pero bukod sa personal, professionally obligasyon din natin.

Dagdag pa niya, “At malaking bagay na nandidito siya. Kasi, may katuwang ako. At may mga bagay akong natututunan dahil sa kanya.

“Kasi when it comes to health, healthcare, parang mas marami siyang alam tungkol sa akin at isine-share niya sa akin. ”

Tugon naman ni Ion, “Sinabi niya nga kanina na hindi na siya pabata. So, kailangan ko rin siyang tulungan doon sa alam kong ikakabuti niya, ikakatagal naming magkasama.

“Kasi, bilang partner ko siya, siyempre mahal ko siya. Gusto ko siyang makasama nang matagal.

“So, kailangan kong i-less yung mga nakasanayan niyang maling pagkain, yung maling gawain. Kaya iyon ang nase-share ko sa kanya na, ‘Ganito dapat gawin natin.”
