NAGPAKALAT ng karagdagang tauhan ang Bureau of Immigration (BI) para sa kanilang serbisyo ngayong mahabang bakasyon dahil sa paggunita ng Holy Week. nnSinabi ni BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado na mahigit 40 karagdagang Immigration officers at acting immigration officers ang ipakakalat sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) para mabigyan serbisyo ang maraming dayuhang pasahero.nn “We have fielded a total of 48 immigration frontliners at NAIA alone to ensure that all immigration counters are fully manned during peak arrival and departure hours,” ayon kay Viado.nn“This is part of our commitment to deliver swift and seamless service to the traveling public.” nnDagdag pa ang BI Chief na ang mga Immigration personnel sa iba’t-ibang tanggapan sa Metro Manila ay inutusan na tumulong sa airport operations sa panahon ng mahabang bakasyon. nn“Our frontliners are under strict orders to provide efficient, courteous, and professional service at all times,” ayon sa BI Chief. “This operational surge is aligned with the President’s call for improved government services, especially in high-traffic areas such as our airports.” nnPinaalalahanan ni Viado ang mga biyahero na maagang dumating sa airport dahil sa inaasahan volume ng mga paasahero.nn “We urge the public to be at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled flight to allow ample time for immigration and security checks,” ayon sa BI Chief.nnInaasahan na mahigit sa 50,000 na mga pasahero kada araw ngayong holiday season.
